IMPLICATIONS OF A WARMING PLANET:
DISASTER AS A GROWTH INDUSTRY

Recent catastrophic events, including the Asian tsunami and the Gulf Coast hurricane, offer a crystal ball’s-eye view into our future in a globally-warmer world. In this presentation, we will walk through some of the science – and its implications for humanitarian disasters – behind global warming. With rising tides, melting glaciers and a changing planet, climate change during this century will almost certainly bring massive political, economic and social dislocation that will lead to immense human suffering.
