David Smith

David Smith is a graduate of the University of Wyoming and has spent the last 23 years in Law Enforcement at the Laramie Police Department. During his career in Law Enforcement he has worked as a Patrol Officer, in Community Service, as a Detective, a First Line Supervisor and currently as a Supervisor in the Laramie/Albany County Records and Communications Division. David is a member of the Albany County Mental Health Task Force and a member and Peer Coordinator of the Snowy Range Critical Incident Stress Management Team. He is a member of the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation and serves on the Board of Directors of the Rocky Mountain Region Disaster Mental Health Institute. He has over 2,300 Peace Officer Standards and Training hours. These include specialized training in Child Abuse, Electronic Weapons and Threat Assessment as part of the Homeland Security program. Member - WYO CISM NET.
