George Doherty has held positions as counselor/therapist, Masters Level psychologist, consultant, educator, and disaster mental health specialist and is a former U.S. Air Force Officer. Currently, he serves as President of O`Dochartaigh Associates, a position he has held since 1985. He is also President and CEO of the Rocky Mountain Region Disaster Mental Health Institute. He has served as an Adjunct instructor the University of Wyoming, a Psychologist for Rural Clinics Community Counseling Center (State of Nevada) in Ely, NV, and an Adjunct Instructor for Northern Nevada Community College. He is currently an Adjunct Faculty member with Kennedy-Western University and a Certified Instructor, International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF). He is an Associate Member of the American Psychological Association, Member - American Counseling Association, Member - The American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress, Member - Association of Traumatic Stress Specialists, Member - Traumatic Incident Reduction Association (TIRA), Life Member - Air Force Association, Life Member - Military Officers Association of America, Life Member - Penn State Alumni Association, and Alumni Admissions Volunteer - The Pennsylvania State University. He served as a USAF Officer (Connally Navigator). Eleven years with Civil Air Patrol (an Air Force Auxiliary) as a Squadron Commander, Deputy Wing Commander, Air Operations Officer and Master Observer. He is a Level II Member of the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation; Research Advisor and Research Fellow American Biographical Institute, Book Reviewer and member - Editorial Advisory Board for PsychCritiques (APA Journal), Member - Albany County Suicide Prevention Task Force; Member - Wyoming Department of Health Emergency Preparedness Advisory Committee.
